FACTS ABOUT BAMBOO
The bamboo that goes into our products is grown naturally, with no pesticides,
herbicides,or fertilizers.Because bamboo grows rapidly, it reduces greenhouse
gases and absorbs nearly 5 times as much carbon dioxide as normal trees do,
while producing 35% more oxygen! Bamboo is naturally anti-bacterial and anti-
fungal, due to an agent called "bamboo kun." In bamboo cloth, this amazing
substance stops odor-producing bacteria from growing and spreading.
MATERIAL
Bamboo material is soft, non-irritating, and hypoallergenic, due to the smooth,
round structure of its fibers. This same structure makes bamboo fabric more
breathable than cotton, hemp, wool, or synthetic material. Plus, bamboo's high
absorbency wicks water away from the body nearly three to four times faster than
cotton. Because bamboo is so hygienic and soft, you won't even need fabric softener
on our towels! Just rinse them thoroughly with cold water and you're set.
BAMBOO FIBER
Can it be? Some people question whether or not bamboo fiber is really
environmentally friendly, due to the process that is widely used to manufacture it.
Don't worry: the fiber used in all BamBoo Hugs products is manufactured using a
process that is substantially healthier and more eco-friendly. This chemical
manufacturing process is closed-looped, and 99.5% of the chemicals are captured
and recycled for better waste management practices.
